San Jose's Premier Dentist

Dr. Brian Kong graduated from the University of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco and received his undergraduate degree from UCLA where he studied in both Economics and Psychology. Although he enjoyed living the city life in Los Angeles and San Francisco, he returned to his hometown of San Jose, and is loving his short traffic-free commute to work. He’s a member of the Santa Clara Dental Society, Golden State Spear Study Club, Spear Faculty Club, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr. Doug Kong has been providing dental care from the same location for individuals and families since 1975. He has enjoyed treating generations of families over the years. A native of San Jose, he attended the University of California at Davis and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. He continuously supports his education with many classes in restorative, cosmetic, and implant dentistry.

Dr. Madana Harvey grew up in San Francisco and moved to Los Angeles to complete her undergraduate degree in Psychobiology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She went on to pursue her doctorate at the UCLA School of Dentistry. In dental school, Dr. Harvey discovered her passion for working in community health. She enjoyed her time providing dental screenings at various healthfairs and participated in an externship with the Indian Health Services where she provided dental services to the local Native American population in Maine.

Dr. Ariel Canda received her Bachelors degree in Biology at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and continued to the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry for her doctorate. She moved to Orange County after graduating from dental school to give the warmer weather and the change of environment a try. After practicing there, she realized how much she loved the Bay Area and decided to move back to establish her career and her life.

Dr. Leslie Tam grew up in Los Gatos and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from UCLA. She went on to obtain her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco and furthered her education and training by completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency in Oakland, CA.

Dr. Navreena Sahota was born and raised in the bay area. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences degree from the University of the Pacific in Stockton. She then continued on for her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. Go Tigers!

Dr. Betita was raised in Madera, CA in the San Joaquin Valley. She attended the University of California, Irvine, for her undergraduate education and she received her Degree in Dentistry from UC San Francisco in 2007. She entered the US Air Force directly from dental school. Her commitment to excellence didn't stop there – she further honed her skills through a rigorous AEGD 1-year residency in the Air Force, with training in IV sedation and complicated wisdom tooth extractions. While in the military, she was stationed in South Korea and Italy for a cumulative 5 years. While overseas, she enjoyed visiting several countries and learning about different cultures.

Dr. Philip Nam received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of California, San Francisco. Then he received his periodontics and implantology training and masters at Stony Brook University in New York.

Dr. Pauline Tran was born and raised in San Jose, CA. She earned her bachelor's degree in Environmental Toxicology, with a minor in Chicano Studies, from UC Davis before pursuing her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. Her diverse academic background demonstrates her dedication to both the scientific and humanistic aspects of her field and provides her with a unique perspective on how environmental factors and cultural context impact oral health, enabling her to deliver more holistic and culturally sensitive care.
